a few things

My life has been so busy as we all adjust to our new normal here in our new city.  We are really trusting the Lord for a quick sale on our home.  That will be a huge help!  Apparently the market where we used to live has slowed down considerably and we have been told that it could take months and months to find a buyer.

And even in this we choose to walk by faith and not by sight–with hearts expecting a miracle.

Goodness!  I cannot even begin to tell you how burdened I am for NOAH and JIANG WEI.  Neither of them have families yet.  Why is that?  How can it be that a young man can share his absolute desire for a family in a letter…and still no one listens.  Honestly?  It just saddens me.  These precious older children wait for so long to be chosen–many of them run out of time.  It shouldn’t be that way.

I watched a video of a young man named SAM this morning.  He is in the same orphanage as Noah and also needs a family.  There are six videos of Sam showing the world his skills.  He’s an avid dancer and loves basketball.  I could not help but get a lump in my throat as I watched him.  I noticed the other kids waiting in line to show off their talents on video too.  These are teenagers.  They know that this is their last opportunity to find families of their own.  These kids see countless little ones walk out of their orphanages with families who adore them.  Surely it must rip their hearts out?  Surely it leaves a gaping wound in the heart that can only be healed by the unconditional love of a family and a touch from the Father above?

It just breaks my heart.  I wish I could do more for them.

Thank you for all the sweet comments and e-mails I received after sharing my heart here.  Your kindness touches me deeply.

Also, my beautiful and amazing friend Lorraine Patterson and her awesome family have started a new ministry.  When we visited with them at Summit this year they were feeling God birthing something new in their hearts.  I am so thrilled that they have stepped out in faith.  They would love nothing more than to have adoptive families, and those considering adoption, join them on their beautiful ranch in Texas for a time of refreshment, encouragement, and fellowship.  You can read all about it on LORRAINE’S BLOG.  A FREE FOUR NIGHT STAY IS UP FOR GRABS!  Go and read how you and your family can be a part of their ministry–all in honor of their precious Chrissie who now dances with Jesus.

That’s it for now.  Thank you for journeying with me.  Your love and support mean so much.

Have a super blessed day, everyone.
