a few updates

Here are a few updates on families, different situations, and children I have recently asked you all to pray for.  Goodness, I am SO thankful for the way so many of you join me in prayer each and every time I come to you with an urgent request.  The body of Christ is truly amazing.

Firstly, THANK YOU for praying for sweet Amelia and her mama, Jenny.  A dear friend of mine was able to speak with Jenny today and apparently Amelia is doing a little better.  Praise God!  It’s a very sad situation–being isolated and horribly neglected for twelve long years, this darling little girl has absolutely no idea of what it means to be loved or even held.  As a result, she is very fussy around people and much prefers to just be left alone.  Breaks my heart. So thankful that God makes ALL things beautiful in His time–I can hardly wait to watch this little angel blossom and grow.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers in the days to come.

Pray for an enormous amount of peace as they fly home and get Amelia straight into the hospital.  You can get updates on their family blog here.

Then, I am very grateful for the way so many of you have supported the McCaslin family.  They are so extremely thankful for the love you have poured out upon their family as they work like crazy to rescue two teenage girls who are about to age out of the system in China. Over $14K has been raised for their adoption, but they are still very short on finances!  Please would you continue to keep them in your prayers as they rally to get all the paperwork together in order to make it to China before the girls turn 14.  If you feel led, please go and sow some precious seed on fertile soil—give to their adoption! It would mean the world to them.

You can follow along on their blog right here.

So, so many of you have been so deeply moved by the Moghadams unfair detainment in Ghana while adopting a sibling group of 4.  It has been an excruciating time for this family. The good news is that they are finally back on US soil.  Sadly though, they do not have the children they are hoping to adopt with them.  The investigation in Ghana continues and Moghadams are praying that God will move every mountain which stands in their way of bringing their precious children home soon!

Please believe with them that beauty WILL rise from these ashes!  You can follow their journey right here.

And lastly, I completely forgot to let you all know that sweet Kamdyn has a family!  This beautiful little treasure has been found and will soon know the love of a family.  Hallelujah!  Every child who is rescued is a glorious victory in the Kingdom of God.  We rejoice!

What a faithful Father we serve!  NOTHING is impossible for the Lord God Almighty!

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;

love and faithfulness go before you. ~~ Psalm 89:14
