I mentioned a few days ago that Anthony and I have been given an amazing opportunity to share not only our embryo adoption, but to create an awareness of the many precious babies who are frozen in time in this country. We’re partnering with the incredible people at Snowflake Embryo Adoption® to share the beauty that is embryo adoption through what will eventually be put together as a documentary.
In order to share our adoption story more fully and to dig a little deeper into the whys, hows and have-we-positively lost-our-minds-this-time?, I’m going to start over and backtrack a little here. By using my blog, Instagram, and my Facebook, I’ll take you all with us through a series of videos, photos, and blog posts as we journey toward our transfer date in December. Lord willing, if God blesses us with a live birth through this, we’ll share that too.
I’m on the fast track to figuring out all things social media. I’m taking a giant leap into 2014 and am learning that a hashtag isn’t just a cute little thing that you put at the end of a post. And my sweet Hannah-Claire told me that I have quite a few followers on Instagram too. The only time I ever use Instagram has been for the cool photo filtering before posting my pics on Facebook. Love that! I also now know (after about three years of having an account) that Instagram can take videos too! Thank the good Lord we have teenage sons when we’re seriously lacking in the area of technology. Most of the time, we just don’t get it. At all.
Why would we do this? Because the absolute desire of my heart is to see as many children (living in Third World countries, in foster care right around the corner from me, being carried in the womb of their birth mother, or frozen in test tubes around this nation) come to know the love of a family! I don’t care where they are living or how big or tiny they are….they ALL deserve an opportunity to learn and grow and become all who God has created them to be.
This IS the Kingdom of God expanding on the earth and there is nothing that I would not do to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a child. Any child!
Since I’ll be using my Instagram and Facebook a lot more for quick updates, you are more than welcome to follow along there if you have accounts.
You can find me on Facebook HERE.
And on Instagram HERE.
Thank you for journeying with us as we take this journey one little step at a time. It’s been an exciting and wild road so far and I am so blessed to know that many of you are supporting us and praying for these four precious babies.
No matter the outcome, they deserve a chance.
Have your way in this, Lord Jesus.
