adoption update

Thank you for all the notes asking me for an update on Kael and Hasya’s adoption.  I so appreciate your prayers for our two newest blessings who are waiting to come home.

Things have slowly but surely been moving forward.  This week I got the good news that we have been given a court date in Bulgaria in December.

That’s the good news.

The not-so-good news is that as much as we hoped our sweet little darlings would be home for Christmas, they won’t.  At this stage it looks like I will only be able to travel in early January.

I was so sad that Hasya and Kael will both be spending Christmas in cribs once again.  My heart ached that they will not be home with us as we had prayed.  It’s so hard knowing where they are!  Goodness, it’s hard!

But God was so good to gently remind me that HE knows best–that He has not forgotten.

He reminded me that we prayed for HIS perfect timing in Kael and Hasya’s homecoming.

And He has answered.

Not quite as we had prayed.

But everything according to His plans and purposes for their lives.

I choose to trust that my Father knows best…even when I think I do.

And that is where my peace lies.

Hang in there, my precious lovies, soon you will be home…where you belong!

We’re counting down the days.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.” ~~  Isaiah 55:8-9
