Over the past few days I have received quite a lot of requests to advocate for international orphans who are here in America on a hosting program. Many of these sweet children have still not been able to find forever families and will very soon be returning to their countries. Most of them have just one opportunity to be chosen…and this is it! It breaks my heart to know that they will be returning to their orphanages without any hope of having a family to call their own.
I would absolutely love to try and help in any way I can. I know that so often it is easier to find families for children when personal information and experiences are available from those who have actually spent time with the children. I would love to use that to help spread the word.
So, this coming week I am going to write a post specifically about these children–the ones currently being hosted by families here in the U.S. who have not found committed families yet. The ones who are running out of time.
If you or someone you know is hosting an orphan right now and are longing to see them find a family, would you please e-mail me their details asap?
This is what I need:
~~~ The child/ren’s names.
~~~ Ages.
~~~ Country where they live.
~~~ A brief description (one or two paragraphs) of their time with your family. Please include personality, any special needs, and personal experiences of your time with the child.
~~~ A contact person and e-mail address.
~~~ One or two photos.
If you know of someone who is hosting an orphan and would like to advocate for the child to find a family, please would you pass this on to them? I am hoping to have the post ready toward the end of this coming week.
