meet our village

Anthony and I are so ridiculously grateful for the love and support so many of you have shown us since we shared our rather big news.  It’s been quite a journey, that’s for sure.  As we reflect on the last few months, God’s guidance in our lives has truly left us so humbled and amazed.

In awe of His goodness to us as a family.

There are a few things that are so important to us as we serve the Lord as missionaries once again. We’ve learned a few things about what really matters most to us over the years–some by trial and error, some straight out of the Word of God. We met in 1996.  Anthony had recently retired as a successful fashion model and had spent many summers in Cape Town. While there, he felt sure in his heart that he would eventually end up back in South Africa. Fast forward a couple of years and he landed in Port Elizabeth. We met the day after he arrived.  And the rest, as they say, is history.  It’s been an incredibly blessed adventure in the Lord, for sure.

While serving our Father in those early years as a married couple, we quickly learned the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who were in our corner–on our side no matter what life threw our way.  In that season of our lives, our core group of people were a team in America who served as our covering, our support, and our greatest cheerleaders.  What a sweet blessing they were to us as we followed God into some crazy situations.

When we got confirmation that God was once again sending us out onto the mission field, the one concern we had was who would be our accountability, our spiritual covering.  Of this I am sure–we all need accountability in our lives.  And those in ministry of any kind need it even more.  They need  people to walk closely with them and to hold them accountable for decisions, finances, the things they take on, and relationships.  As the body of Christ, we were never meant to walk alone.  We firmly believe that submitting ourselves to people of wisdom and allowing them to speak into our lives gives us a covering of protection–one where the enemy cannot get a foothold.

And so as we started trusting the Lord to put the pieces of SINDISA together, one question we asked of Him was “Who, Lord?”

“Who will send us out with blessing, with accountability, and with encouragement?”

It wasn’t two days later that His divine plans and purposes [that just blow me away] started unfolding.

Oh my goodness!  Only God!

Through His grace, His mercy, and His goodness which my heart cannot begin to fathom, He began calling precious friends to start another ministry.  He chose some of the most faithful of His flock and knit hearts together to form a ministry that would serve Him in all four corners of the globe…

…and to send our family out with their blessing!

I cannot even tell you how humbled we are!  To know that God hand-picked a group of precious people who share our hearts, our passion, and our vision in South Africa.  Well, it leaves us so full of gratitude and praise for the ONE who knows every need and every desire of our hearts.

Anthony and I are beyond thrilled to be part of Pure and Faultless–a new ministry birthed in the hearts of friends to be a blessing to the nations.  They share our hearts to follow God with everything they have–no matter where He sends brothers and sisters, or who He calls to pour themselves out.  We launched Pure and Faultless just about two weeks ago, and we’re astounded at the doors He has opened and the favor He has given us as a ministry already.  Faithful Jesus!
