miracles abound

Harper has a few favorite words.  One of them is “Stop!”

“Cade, stop!”

“Hailee, STOP (Hailee always seems to get the most adamant “STOP” of them all.)!”

“Ellie, stop!”  Ellie’s the dog.

So today we were all gathered in our kitchen after lunch.  Anthony and I and some of the other kids were having a conversation.  In the background we kept hearing “Stop.”  Knowing that it is one of Harper’s most repetitive words, we assumed it was her.  The word was loud and audible–not an approximation, but a real word.

Someone was getting a lecture from Harper, we thought.  It happens.  A lot.

All of a sudden, Anthony stopped what he was doing and said, “Honey, that’s not Harper saying stop, it’s Haven!”  We looked around and Harper was not even in the room.  It was Haven!  With her hands over her ears in an attempt to block out Hailee’s music toy, she was totally telling Hailee to “Stop!”

Oh my goodness!

This is so, so huge for Haven.  A mighty miracle indeed.  Haven doesn’t speak.  Ever!  Even when we try to get to her make sounds, they are not words…they are always approximations!

What music to our ears it was to hear our beautiful treasure use her voice.  Just one tiny little word.  We’ll take it.

So thankful!

ALL GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!

Have Your way in Haven’s life, Lord Jesus.
