my young man

I remember when Connor was a baby.  “Make the most of every minute, ” they told me. “Before you know it, he’ll be out of your home.”  In the midst of diapers, pacifiers, bottles, and very disrupted sleep, I didn’t believe them, of course.

I blinked, and here we are.  Time has absolutely flown by. Almost 17 years later and my firstborn is prayerfully considering his future, college and what the Father has for him when he graduates high school next year.  I am so proud of the young man he is becoming–he walks in utmost integrity and pours his heart into all that he does.  Connor is loyal, faithful and cares deeply about people. I am so blessed to have a front row seat as he takes steps toward whatever God calls him too.

We don’t know what God has planned for Connor’s future but I do know that I will continue to make the most of every single moment that I have him here in my home.

So very thankful for this child who first showed me that I just love, love being a mother.

With a thankful heart for my many, many blessings.
