pondering and a winner

We have a winner!  Random.org chose commenter #40 as the winner of our Thanksgiving giveaway.

Emily, I will be in touch with you soon.  Congrats!

Thank you to everyone who went and had a look at the work of Dawn’s hands on her website, shared on FB, and liked the Funky Fish Designs FB page.  You guys are awesome!

Christmas is almost here.  If you’re looking for some beautiful and very unique gifts for those you love, would you consider supporting FUNKY FISH, please?  When we support small businesses which glorify God in their work, we sow such precious seed–we expand the Kingdom of God coming on the earth and we support God-loving families who are trying hard to make ends meet. Win-win. It is such a joy to support the body of Christ.  I ordered my sweet Hannah-Claire a couple of pieces (including the one below) for Christmas today and I cannot wait to give them to her.  She’s at that age now–into all things girly.  So much fun.

She truly is redeemed.

In other news, I am working on a special project to share with you all this month.  I cannot wait to share their sweet faces with you.  Shine, Jesus, shine!

I cannot believe that the end of the year is already upon us.  It’s just crazy how this year has flown by. Goodness, how fast the years go by!  I don’t want to miss out on anything that the Father has for me and my family.  This time of year always reminds me of just how fleeting life is. I never want fear to keep me in the comfortable boat. I long to live this one life that I have on earth with passion, abandon, and a desire to give God every part of me and everything that I have.  Because it’s just so short. So often I fail.  I find myself focusing my heart, my time, and my attention on things that simply do not matter in this life.

The end of every year always makes me ponder what the book of James says in chapter 4, “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”

Here a little while, then it’s gone.

How I pray that you and I can make the most of this one life that He has given us…

No matter where He leads us.

No matter what He calls us to do.

No matter when He whispers in our ears.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible comes from the book of Isaiah (my most favorite book!).  Isaiah 30:21 says this, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”  I love that so much!

May we always hear that still, small voice behind us whispering in our ears which way to walk.

THANK YOU for helping one young lady as she faithfully and sacrificially walks out the call that God has whispered to her own heart.  I know it means the world to Addisyn.

Love to you all.
