Anthony leaves in just a few days to visit our Pure and Faultless partner ministries in Africa. It’s so exciting! God is doing such incredible things at Rahab’s Corner in Uganda. He can’t wait to go and pour his heart into our friends and staff. It’s tough loving the broken-hearted back to a place of healing. Our staff there are just incredible and I am so humbled by the work that they do. My husband is so excited to go and pray for our residents and staff and hear from the Lord how we, as a ministry, can be even more of a blessing to those who so desperately need to know His love.
We are so very excited to see and hear about what the Lord is doing in the life one of our residents. Each precious lady who lives at Rahab’s Corner arrives with so much heartache and a story that is truly hard for my human heart to even begin to comprehend. Mary has been living at our home for a year. God has done such a redeeming work in her life. Mary has been a source of quiet strength and a leader at Rahab’s Corner. She is smart, kind, caring and is such a wonderful role model to the younger girls. Mary is an amazing mother to her little girl and has been such a blessing to all of our residents at the home.
Mary is finally returning to college! We are so absolutely thrilled for her. She will be returning to finish her business degree that was interrupted when she got pregnant and ended up living in the slums without support. Mary has walked such a painful road, but she is rising up with such determination in her heart. Last spring, she petitioned the university to allow her to rejoin her studies at the point where she left off and was accepted. Hallelujah! She gets to return to school this month.
This is just so amazing! Our heart and the goal of our ministry in Uganda is to equip and help each lady to eventually move out of the home with the training, education and life skills that they require to go back out into their community and not only succeed, but blossom in every way. We long to see the the light of Christ shine so brightly through them as they tell of all that He has done.
It is truly such an honor that we get to come alongside our Mary and cheer her on as she takes this big step in her life. It is such a privilege that we get to be a part of the story that God is writing for her life.
Friends, we need a few more people to partner with Mary in her success. The cost of one semester of schooling (including tuition, supplies, housing) is approximately $900. Additionally we would like to provide her with a laptop for her studies. If you have a heart to be a blessing to a young mother who is trying so, so hard to walk in victory, would you prayerfully consider partnering with us as we help Mary, please?
We need just $1000 more for Mary’s education. You can GO HERE to donate. Just put “Mary” in the comment section. All donations are tax deductible and every single dollar goes to Mary.
From the bottom of our hearts….thank you!
